The Bureau undertakes the exploration and study of places which lie upon the periphery of reality. Abandoned buildings, tunnels, rooftops; forgotten places.

These spatiotemporal borderlands or “liminal spaces” are locations where the walls between worlds grow thin. Anomalous phenomena, atmospheres, and entities are encountered in these spaces, yet are left largely unobserved by other government or scientific institutions. The Bureau thus dedicates itself to the discovery, surveying, research, and cataloguing of these locations.
